Which manuals can I upload?+
Any PDF works — official manuals from the manufacturer, but also your own scans of documents you have on board. Scanned pages are read with OCR, so even a photo of a paper manual becomes searchable for Luma.
How do I know an answer is correct?+
Luma grounds its answers in your own documents and shows a citation to the exact manual, page or figure it used. You can always open the source yourself to verify.
Which languages does Luma speak?+
Luma answers in the language you ask your question in — even when the underlying manual is written in another language.
Does Luma work offline at sea?+
Your logbook and boat details work fully offline and sync when you are back online. Luma Chat itself needs an internet connection to answer, since it reads your documents in the cloud.
Is my data private?+
Yes. Your manuals, boat details and conversations are tied to your account and are never shared with other users or used outside your own assistant.
Does Luma replace my official manuals?+
No. Luma helps you find and apply what is in them faster. For safety-critical work, the official manufacturer documentation always remains leading.
